Day Plus

 

Day Plus is a self-supporting program sponsored by the Hopatcong Board of Education.

Day Plus Registration for the 2008-09 school year will be held at the Administration Building at 2 Windsor Avenue in the Board Meeting Room on Tuesday, July 22nd from 6:00-8:00 pm, Wednesday, July 30th from 6:00-8:00 pm and Thursday, August 14th from 6:00 - 7:00 . These dates will be the only times you will be able to sign up for the Day Plus program.  Please mark your calendar with one of those dates we have set aside.  There is a $15.00 non-refundable registration fee per child which will secure their placement, as the program fills up quickly.

Morning/Afternoon Session Day Plus +

Morning Session of Day Plus is available to students in Grades 1 through 5 and AM Kindergarten.
Afternoon Session Day Plus for AM Kindergarten and Grades 1, 4, and 5 is housed at the Hudson Maxim School.  Transportation from AM Day Plus to the Durban Avenue School is provided.  The AM Session for students in grades 2 and is housed at the Tulsa Trail School.  The AM programs open at 6:30 am.

Afternoon Session of Day Plus is available to students in Grades 1 through 5 and PM Kindergarten.  PM Day Plus starts at the end of the school day and closes at 6:00 pm.  A light snack is provided.

School dismissal to 6:00 p.m. with a light snack provided. Grades 1 and p.m. Kindergarten afternoon sessions are housed at Hudson Maxim School. Grades 2 and 3 are housed at Tulsa Trail School and Grades 4 and 5 are housed at Durban Avenue School.

Structured activities are scheduled during afternoon sessions such as:

  • Quiet activities, reading, puzzles, drawing or board games.
  • Indoor and outdoor physical activities.
  • Scheduled time for completion of homework assignments.

Registration Fee: $15.00 (Tentative)

Morning Day Plus: 5 Days per week Payable Monthly $36.00 (Tentative)

Afternoon Day Plus: 5 Days per week Payable Monthly $42.00 (Tentative)

Combination Morning & Afternoon Day Plus: 5 Days per week Payable Monthly $50.00

Please Note:   This option is not available to Kindergarten students.

Day Plus sessions are offered on days when school is open. Child care is available on planned early dismissal days of school from dismissal to 6:00 p.m.
  • Parents must provide transportation to and from the Day Plus Program.
