Additional conditions that apply:

Substitutes serving more that 15 days during one academic year would earn an additional $10.00 per day. Substitutes serving in the same position for 10 consecutive days will receive an additional $10.00 per day beginning with the 11^th day and thereafter while in the same position.

Once long term assignment concludes, the substitute teacher will revert to basic per diem rate.

*For the purposed of determining substitute salaries, one year of experience is defined as working at least 45 days per year in the Hopatcong Borough School District. For example, 3 years of experience would equate to having worked at least 135 days in Hopatcong Borough School District over the course of three school years, i.e., 2006-2007, 2005-2006, and 2004-2005. (Example: to earn $75.00 as a sub with a county certificate & less than a BA degree, or $85.00 as a sub with a teaching certificate, for each day worked during the 2007/2008 school year, a substitute having 4 years of experience would need to have worked at least 45 days per year in the Hopatcong Borough School District during the 2004-2005, 2005-2006, and 2006-2007 school years).

Note: Such payments will not be retroactive, and will begin effective December 1, 2007.
