Dear Parents/Guardians,

When I came to Hopatcong more than 21 years ago, I was commuting one hour each way.  I came in January and for the first month here, on at least three occasions, it took me three to four hours to drive home because of major snowstorms.  I thought to myself, “I don’t know if I can do this!”   But time passed and I realized how much I loved working in Hopatcong.  Hopatcong became home for me so I moved to the area.

During my years here I have worked with many children and found many new friends  The many parents, students, and extended families that I have met and worked with helped me to grow as an educator and most importantly, allowed me to enjoy my job at the Middle School.

At this time, I would like to thank you for sharing your children with me.  Every child I have worked with has touched me in some way.  I hope that in some small way I have impacted the children as well.

As I leave to retire on July 1, I wish you and your children the best that life has to offer.  I also wish my colleague and new Middle School Principal, Jeffrey Hallenbeck, the best and hope that he too, is rewarded with as many wonderful experiences that I have had.

I thank you the parents, Dr. Wayne Threlkeld, and the many Board of Education members that I have worked with and, of course, each and every student for the wonderful memories I take with me!

                                                                                                Sincerely,

                                                                                                Theresa M. Williams
