How are the tests different?

New SAT: (more info)

   - No Analogies and Quantitative Comparisons
 - Short reading passages added
 - More challenging math questions,
   including Algebra I
 - New essay and grammar section
 - A total potential score of 2400 (versus 1600)
 - Test time will be 3 1/2 hours, 1/2 hour longer
 - Price of test will increase approx. $10 - $12
 

New PSAT: (more info)

  Since it’s a practice SAT, PSAT content mirrors new
SAT, only the test is about 90 minutes shorter than the
SAT and does not require knowledge of Algebra II or
essay writing.
