High School Library and Information Center: Citations

Plagiarism is defined as stealing or passing off someone else's work or ideas as your idea, according to Merriam-Webster Dictionary. You avoid plagiarism by crediting the author or writer.  At Hopatcong High School, plagiarism on a project results in a zero.  Students caught plagiarizing at college are kicked out without credit and do not graduate. Their money is not refunded.

Here's one way to avoid plagiarism. Use this site to help you create citations for your research paper. Hopatcong High School uses Modern Language Association (MLA) format.
