Courtesy Bus Transportation Update – June 12, 2025

Dear Hopatcong Families,

As part of our continued efforts to improve communication and transparency around student transportation, I’m pleased to share that the Hopatcong School District has developed an interactive transportation map for Middle School and High School students impacted by courtesy transportation changes for next school year. This tool will allow families to search by home address to determine their assigned transportation eligibility for the 2025–2026 school year.

This initiative is part of our work to ensure clarity following recent updates to transportation zones for the upcoming school year. Initial notification letters were sent to all impacted families on Monday, June 9, 2025, based on the address we have on file. If you received a letter, please review it carefully and use the map tool to confirm your transportation eligibility. If you did not receive a letter and believe you may be impacted, we encourage you to check your address using the map as well. Middle School and High School students residing outside of the walking zone will be provided transportation next year in accordance with Board Policy 8600 and N.J.S.A. 18A:39-1.
