Position 0.625 Part-Time - PM Shift

Job Description This is routine and repetitive manual work calling for the efficient and economical performance of building cleaning and occasional minor maintenance tasks. Cleaning tasks are performed according to a well-established procedure, and maintenance tasks are performed according to specific instructions.
Job Requirements

(Include but not limited to the below custodial activities)

Sweeps and mops floors and stairs.

Dusts desks, woodwork, furniture and other equipment; Washes windows, walls, blackboards, sinks and other fixtures; Polishes furniture and metal furnishing.

Empties waste baskets, collects and disposes of rubbish; Clears snow and ice from walks.

May mow lawns, trim shrubs, rake leaves and perform a variety of other grounds keeping tasks as assigned.

Assists in the operation of an oil, gas or coal fired low-pressure heating system including firing and removing ashes.

Delivers packages and messages.

Places and removes traffic safety signs.

Arranges chairs, tables, and other equipment for special use of school building;

Replaces light bulbs, soap and towels.

Job Benefits
      • $45,740-$65,055 (salary will be based of  0.625 Part-Time)
        • All full-time and part-time custodial/maintenance employees shall be required to secure a black seal boilers license within 18 months of employment. If custodial/maintenance staff does not hold a black seal license $400 will be deducted from their annual salary.
        • New custodial/maintenance employees will have uniforms ordered for them after three months of service in the school system and receive them as soon as possible.

Job Description
This is a substitute position and only necessary on an as needed basis, a great opportunity for someone seeking a secondary/extra income.
This position requires a wide variety of routine cleaning duties at campus buildings which includes, but not limited to, sweeping, mopping, vacuum cleaning, dusting, and complete bathroom cleaning of all school buildings and any other custodial tasks assigned by the Facilities Manager.
This position may also include clearing of snow and ice from entranceways, walkways, steps, and various outdoor campus spaces as needed during winter months.

Must be physically able to lift heavy objects (at least 25 lbs), walk & stand for long periods of time
